Besheno primary hospital is one of the governmental hospitals located in central Ethiopia Region State, Halaba zone, weradijo woreda. It is established in April 2007 E.C by the expansion of the existing health center. The hospital is located 285 km from Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia; 78 km from Hosanna, the capital of the Central Ethiopia Regional State; and 31 km from Halaba Kulito town.
Besheno primary hospital is serving a catchment population of over 120,000 people, the hospital functions as a central hub for a network of four health centers, 10 basic health posts and one comprehensive health post.
Since 2015 E.C., it has implemented a paper-free service through progressive digitalization and automation of its clinical and administrative systems. This transformation has improved service efficiency, enhanced patient data management, and ensured faster, more reliable care delivery. By integrating electronic medical records and automated workflows, the hospital continues to strengthen quality of care, transparency, and patient satisfaction.

In the stabilization center for severe acute malnutrition (SAM), treatment follows a structured approach that includes careful feeding with therapeutic diets (like F-75 and F-100), management of infections, correction of dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, and continuous medical supervision.
The Immunization Service provides essential vaccines to protect children and mothers from preventable diseases. The service ensures safe vaccine storage, timely administration according to national schedules, and continuous community awareness to improve immunization coverage.
Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) screening involves early detection of conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart diseases. It helps identify risk factors, supports timely treatment, and prevents complications through regular check-ups and lifestyle guidance.
Cervical cancer screening is a preventive health service that helps detect early changes in the cervix before they develop into cancer. Early screening allows timely treatment, reduces complications, and significantly decreases cervical cancer-related deaths among women.
Ophthalmologic services focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of eye conditions. Early detection and proper management help prevent vision loss, improve eye health, and enhance the quality of life for patients.
